The Variety Learning Centre has been running summer camps at the Greater Heights Learning Academy, 550 Thompson Ave., Coquitlam, BC, Canada, since 2014. Going forward, however, we cannot continue camps the way we used to as they are a financially losing proposition and we no longer receive a grant for them.
Below is what we have available for summer 2023.
Teachers:
Tutoring $60 per hour
Additional fees may apply for outing entrance fees, transit, cooking supplies, etc.
All programs must be prepaid and are non-refundable.
Available Teachers:
Edwin Tanner – Life skills, general tutoring
Jen Crusvar (“Ms. C”) – Life skills and literacy / math K – 5
Therapists:
This summer GHLA OT’s Tessa and Karen are offering:
- Interoception on-line group
- Executive Function on-line group
- Virtual 1:1 Occupational Therapy with Tessa
- In-Person 1:1 Occupational Therapy with Karen
Autism Funding is accepted for all these options.
Please note the following:
- no babysitting/childcare situations
- no SEA staff (student/staff member must be able to manage 1-1)
- no lunch hour/before/after coverage
- suitability of student/behavior management as judged by the teacher or therapist i.e The teacher and therapists have the right to accept or decline a student based on suitability.
